People in Times Square wrapped up and trying to keep warm on Saturday as wind chill in New York City reached as low as minus-36

Sunday 14 2016 New York (including me!) suffers coldest day in 100 YEARS as East Coast is hit with record lows and eye-watering wind chills of MINUS 36 even the penguins have turned up.

A lake in Central Park froze over as temperatures in the park reached minus-1 degrees on Sunday morning

New York City faced its coldest day since 1916, with a record-breaking minus-1 degrees in Central Park. A record was also broken at John F Kennedy International Airport 1 degrees. In Newark, New Jersey, and at LaGuardia International Airport (10 minutes away as I type), temperatures tied records at zero and 1 degrees, respectively.

Is she nuts?
One woman attending New York Fashion Week went without a scarf or gloves and braved the cold temperatures while walking to one fashion show

 Boy! It's cold

'Right now I'm going to drink a coffee' to stay warm. 'Tomorrow, I'm going to stay at home all day.' Can I hear you say "wimp!" Remember a family freezer is only 18 below...
