Is This The First Day of Spring?

Springtime in the Snow, New York 2015

Want to hear some juicy news? Well, maybe not exactly juicy, especially for the city of New York and Boston because they are both scheduled to see more snow on the first day of spring today. Can you believe it?! On the news today, CNN announced that a snow storm is in effect for both cities. That's right, an expected six inches of snow is also due to fall in some parts of the US north-east, and mid-Atlantic when spring officially begins today with the vernal equinox. It's worth noting that we're expecting a total solar eclipse as well.

Looking out of my window as we speak - yes, there it was. The snow continued to fall heavily over the city, and my reaction was? “Go away!” I shouted out of the window "I hate winters." How do I feel about this situation?
At this point, it's more of a nuisance than anything, especially after all the snowstorms we’ve had this winter. Yesterday was the last day of winter, and I remembered saying quietly to myself, "Hip hip hooray!” The sun was shinning even though the weather was cool; but overall, it was a lovely day, and in the late afternoon, I spent nearly two hours slowly sweeping the garden and bagging all the rubbish that accumulated over the winter. I must admit, afterwards I felt really good, and when I finished my task, I had a cup of coffee and a Twix.
