The other day I was watching the rain run down the window of my office, and some of my childhood memories came rushing down to the times when I use to gaze outside my own bedroom's window, on an often rainy day in England. This was of course before we had television.

This was when I was a small boy. and my family use to invite our friends to the house over the holidays. Back in those days, we had no TV, and therefore, we entertained ourselves by dancing to the 1930s' Boomps-A-Daisy.

Do you remember that dance? Back in those days, dancing to the Boomps-A-Daisy was considered improper. As children, we had so much fun dancing to it though! It amazes me how a silly little dance could bring such enjoyment to everyone. We always ended up laughing on the floor at the end of each dance! Oh how times have changed.
